The MicroLaser Peel is the latest in skin rejuvenation. Our laser machine utilizes a short-pulsed Erbium laser to ablate the outer layers of the skin at precise depths. It is intermediate in depth of treatment, between a microdermabrasion and full laser skin resurfacing. One 10 micron MicroLaserPeel is the equivalent of 4-6 microdermabrasion treatments. We offer these “peels” from 10 – 50 microns. It will give you newly grown skin that will transform your appearance. This Micro Peel treatment delivers excellent results for a wide variety of skin conditions, such as:
- Poor skin tone
- Fine lines/wrinkles
- Scars from old injuries
- Acne scars
- Sagging skin
- Uneven pigmentation, such as age spots/sun spots
- Blotchiness
Your treatment will be customized to your skin type and conditions. The treatment takes about 20 or 30 minutes, depending on what needs to be done. When the treatment is finished, Aquafor or Vaseline ointment will be applied to keep your skin moist while the new skin grows. You will experience 2-4 days of redness and/or slight peeling with this treatment. Over the next several months you can watch your skin grow more youthful.
Depending on your skin and the depth of the peel, we may recommend anywhere from 1-4 treatments. This treatment is great for the weekend; have your treatment done on a Friday and be ready to go on Monday. A flare up of herpes simplex is possible in someone who carries the virus. We usually let you take oral antiviral medication for a week after the MicroLaserPeel.
