Thin Your Thighs in an Hour | Minnesota

Thigh gap is a term used to describe the space or gap between a woman’s upper, inner thighs. It relates to how thin the legs are.

If a woman is unhappy with her upper, inner thighs and wants to see a gap, there are several options here. If the problem is excess fat, then liposuction alone will be an adequate treatment for the inner thighs. These incisions are very small and can be hidden in the groin crease. However, if the problem is excess skin, an inner thigh lift with or without liposuction may be right for you.

Lunch Break Lipo with Vaser lipo is a safe, effective way to contour your thighs and achieve amazing results with minimal recovery time.

The vaser procedure involves a thin probe that is inserted through a small incision in the skin under tumescent anesthesia. The Vaser’s ultrasound high energy liquefies the fat cells while stimulating the skin, promoting new collagen growth for firmer skin. Most patients see results quickly following the procedure as Vaser also reduces skin dimpling and alleviates unwanted cellulite.

Dr. Shu is truly an expert in liposuction as he offers the most advanced liposuction techniques available to ensure maximum effectiveness, patient safety, and minimum downtime.

Transform Your Arm in Your Lunch Hour | Minneapolis

Many women in Minneapolis and St Paul hate the fat deposits and sagging in their upper arms, which is more noticeable in their middle age. It is also very difficult to hide.

Many of us have a short list of go-to exercises to help tone the upper arms. Although exercise can tone your muscles in the upper arms and shoulders, it usually won’t help much in reducing the fat and tightening skin.

arm_1Traditionally, brachioplasty (surgical armlift) was the only answer for it. It involved a large incision, long recovery time and a high cost. Now, if women have an hour in their lunch time, they could have their arm transformed with lunch break lipo. Lunch Break Lipo with new Vaser or laser lipo technologies is a great way to achieve lean, sexy arms. Yes, in just an hour, we are able to have your upper arms transformed.

Most patients see results almost immediately and return to normal activities either right away or the next day. Vaser or laser are on the cutting edge of liposuction technologies as they are less invasive and gentler than traditional liposuction. Most patients only require one treatment.

You are able to schedule the lunch break lipo without consultation if you are healthy. A small percentage of cases with severe skin sagging may require the combination of liposuction with a mini or full arm-lift, we recommend you to have the complimentary consultation if you think you have a case with severe skin sagging.

Younger patients with tight skin in the arm may also consider Hi Def liposculpture for firm, sculpted athletic upper arms.

After Liposuction, How to Keep the Fat Off?

Liposuction is a very common cosmetic procedure that removes unwanted fat and improves body contouring. Although liposuction is an effective way to improve a person’s body shape and even help to lose some weight, it’s important that people who have undergone liposuction keep the fat off by eating healthy and doing exercise properly.

Eating Healthy
The best way to maintain the body weight and prevent fat from depositing in certain areas and internal organs (visceral fat) is to eat a healthy diet. A diet with a lot of fats and simple carbohydrates will cause you to gain weight very quickly, and significant part of this weight will be visceral fat. This fat is actually much more dangerous than the surface fat that is removed by liposuction. To prevent this, you should eat more vegetables and lean meats.

There are many types of vegetables and fruits you can eat to get the nutrients you need. They are low in calories and have little to no fat, and they have plenty of vitamins and dietary fibers. Avoid eating large amounts of sweets that are full of sugar and fat.

You may also learn the concept of glycemic index in food. The goal of the low-glycemic diet is to eat unprocessed, unrefined carbohydrates in combination with healthy proteins and fats to improve satiety by keeping digestion slow. The quick release of glucose triggers a hormone response that tells your brain you’re hungry again, which is problematic for the dieters in Minnesota, who are trying to reduce their overall calorie intake. Some examples of good low glycemic foods include oatmeal, beans and vegetables. Some examples of high glycemic foods that can cause a spike in blood sugar include some fruit juices, breads, starchy foods like potatoes and sweets, and baked goods.

Drinking Water
Drinking water is a great way to help lose more weight, as it provides a feeling of fullness before you begin eating your food. Moreover, water also boosts metabolism because your body has to work to bring the ingested liquid to your core temperature.

Just by drinking two glasses of H2O prior to eating your meals, you can lose up to an additional 6 to 7 pounds per year. Water does the job and it does the job well. It’s also zero calories and you can get it straight from your kitchen faucet. Overall, consuming H2O has many health benefits and provides an easy and convenient way to lose weight.

Doing More Exercise
Some people may think that liposuction makes them look and feel so good that they no longer worry about eating right and starting an exercise regimen. This is not the case. People who get liposuction and then don’t exercise or eat right could slowly get fat deposited in the lipo-ed areas again. Exercising after the procedure is actually even more important than exercising before it.

In the first two weeks after liposuction, you won’t be able to do much exercise, but you can do simple exercise during your recovery period, such as walking. Actually, walking around the house right after the procedure is important to prevent surgical complications, especially deep vein thrombosis.

After you have fully recovered, which will take about four weeks, you should start a proper exercise regimen. By exercising approximately 30 minutes for at least three to four days a week, it not only prevents the fat depositing, but it also improves your cardiovascular and pulmonary functions. Jogging, walking and running are good cardio exercises. Light weightlifting and other toning exercises can give you an even more attractive shape and figure.

Lunch Break Lipo: Walk in and Walk out in an Hour

More than a decade ago, people needed to be admitted to the hospital for liposuction, and it was performed under general anesthesia. Traditional liposuction without local tumescent anesthesia has notoriously high complications and a long recovery time. With the invention of local tumescent anesthesia and new liposuction technologies, liposuction can be done safely and effectively in the ambulatory setting. Now, Lunch Break Lipo is designed to improve efficiency and minimize down time.

Lunch Break Lipo can be done during your lunch hour. Of course, you can block your schedule to do Lunch Break Lipo for an hour at any time of day. Patients may schedule a lunch break lipo without the initial consultation and may send their pictures for review. One of our staff members will call the patient to go through everything before the procedure.

Lunch Break Lipo is so minimally invasive that the patient remains awake during the liposuction and can even return to normal activities when it is over. The Vaser lipo system is an impressive technology that maximizes fat extraction without compromising your comfort and safety. It uses focused ultrasound energy to selectively remove fat cells without affecting much of the surrounding veins, nerves, and tissue. This results in faster healing and less downtime. It also helps to tighten skin. This is why Lunch break Lipo can be performed effectively and efficiently without any sedation.

Lunch Break Lipo usually takes 30 to 45 minutes to finish in one area. The lipo area is given local tumescent anesthesia, but no general anesthesia or intravenous or oral sedation, so patients can walk in and walk out in an hour, no driver needed. The Lunch Break Lipo is limited to one area. If the patient needs liposuction in more than two areas, or on a large body, then oral or intravenous sedation will be given.

New Research Suggested Liposonix is more effective than CoolSculpting | Minnesota

The new research published on the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery (September 2013, Vol. 30, No. 3) suggested Liposonix is more effective than CoolSculpting.

This is the first split-site study comparing HIFU (Liposonix) or cryolipolysis (CoolSculpting). Eight female patients with subcutaneous adipose tissue localized to the bilateral flanks were randomized to a single treatment with either HIFU (Liposonix) or cryolipolysis (CoolSculpting) to each flank. Weight and widest-point waist circumference were recorded at baseline and at 4 monthly follow-up visits.

Results and Discussion: Although both HIFU (Liposonix) or cryolipolysis (CoolSculpting) led to modest reductions in localized flank subcutaneous adipose tissue, there was a trend toward greater improvement in the HIFU (Liposonix) treatment group.

Liposuction is Good Option for Getting into Shape

Liposuction can ultimately improve your body contouring and enhancing your self-image. One thing to be clear is that liposuction or Lipoplasty is in no way a shortcut to a healthy body. Despite a good diet, healthy lifestyle, and a reasonable amount of exercise; many people in Minnesota due to family traits rather than a lack of fitness, etc. may have a body with localized fat deposits that leads to a disproportionate contour. There is nothing wrong in getting a cosmetic surgery done; it is purely a matter of choice. There is no doubt that diet and exercise are good for your health and should always be the part of your living, even if you undergo liposuction to get into shape. However, there are stubborn areas or pockets of fat that do not budge with diet and exercise and liposuction is a good option for getting into shape.

Painless Liposonix in Minnesota

Liposonix is a new, state-of-the-art fat reduction device in Minnesota that can remove fat without surgery. Liposonix system uses high-intensity focused ultrasound energy that penetrates through the skin layers and into the targeted fat without harming the skin or surrounding tissues. The destroyed fat can be removed by the body’s natural metabolic processes. Liposonix is FDA approved for the removal of fat deposits in the abdominal area but is proving to be equally effective in other areas of the body, such as the flanks and thighs.

Liposonix is different from the liposuction procedures. Liposonix is completely non-surgical, and it doesn’t have the surgical complications as those in liposuction.

Liposonix does cause pain with the original protocol in some patients, but we use a painless protocol. Our patients in Minneapolis and St Paul don’t have any pain during treatment with our pain management protocol. You can see slight bruise and swelling following the procedure as the body adjusts to remove the “waste” fat cells. Destruction of the unwanted fat cells is permanent. Most patients are able to return to normal activities – including work – on the same day and resume full exercise regimens within a week.

Male Breast Reduction Surgery in Minnesota

Gynecomastia is female-like breasts on a man, often called man boobs. Gynecomastia is common in men in the Minneapolis and St Paul areas; it happens at any age. Epidemiological studies show that gynecomastia is present in one third of men ages 25 to 45 years and in more than half of men over the age of 50 years. Most of these men in Minnesota are asymptomatic. Male breast reduction surgery is the 4th most common cosmetic surgery procedure (18,256 men breasts surgeries) performed in the United States in 2010.

Gynecomastia can be the result of hormonal changes, heredity conditions, disease or the use of certain drugs. It is also strongly correlated with the presence of obesity. Many gynecomastia patients in Minnesota have both increased glandular breast tissue and excess local fat deposition.

Gynecomastia can cause emotional discomfort and impair men’s self-confidence. Some men in Minneapolis/St. Paul may even avoid certain physical activities and intimacy simply to hide their condition. Men and parents of teenagers seek out treatment options on a daily bases. The reality is that there are no real solutions except male breast reduction surgery.

Male breast reduction is the surgical correction of enlarged breasts in men. The current male breast reduction surgical techniques are varied depending on the severity of gynecomastia. One of my favorites is the minimal invasive technique which requires a small 3 to 4 millimeter incision. The surgical treatment is highly effective, giving excellent esthetic results. If male breast enlargement is due to fat deposit, the treatment of choice in male breast reduction is liposuction to the area. It might also be necessary to do liposuction along with surgical excision of the glandular tissue to achieve the best results and the flattest chest. In the severe cases, male breast lift and areola reduction surgeries need to be performed to achieve the best esthetic results.
