Yag laser treatment can be used to treat small pigmented skin lesions and vascular lesions. Yag laser has a wavelength of 1064 nanometers, which targets hemoglobin or blood. During the procedure, each lesion and blood vessel is traced with pulses of laser light. As the energy is absorbed by the tissue and blood in the vessel, heat builds and destroys the lesion and vessel wall. Yag laser treatments are safe for people of all skin colors. It requires no anesthetics and no downtime.

Effects of the treatment can take anywhere from a few days to a few months to appear. Each patient’s body responds differently. While some patients may only need one treatment to achieve the desired results, other patients may need at least two treatments. Treatments are typically done 6 weeks apart.
