About the Procedures

RejuveFill™ Stem Cell Enhanced Natural breast augmentation is an outpatient procedure performed under local anesthesia. General anesthesia and a hospital stay are not necessary. The entire procedure, which includes liposuction of unwanted body fat, enrichment of the extracted fat with stem cells, and injection into the breast, takes about 4-6 hours. The patient can return home immediately after the procedure is completed. There is minimal downtime or pain.

First, unwanted body fat from areas like the abdomen, thighs and buttocks is first extracted using Body-jet liposuction techniques. A stem cell processing system extracts stem cells from a portion of the liposuctioned fat. The regenerative cells and stem cells are washed and concentrated before being combined with a portion of harvested fat cells. In the meantime, the harvested fat cells are cleaned and concentrated with LipoCollector™ 3 technology before being mixed with the stem cells. The final stem cell and fat cell mixture is injected into the breast, where it replaces tissue volume. The supercharged, concentrated fat graft creates the result with a natural looking, permanent breast augmentation.

The use of stem cells in this procedure allows for growth of new blood vessels to feed the fat. The stem cells also release anti-inflammatory substances that help with muscle and tissue healing, as well as growth factors that tighten the skin over the breast. Harvesting stem cells from the extracted body fat is extremely effective in aiding the body in healing and overcoming disease and tissue damage.

Natural Breast Reconstruction for Mastectomies

What is even more remarkable is that fat grafting for breast reconstruction is now possible for women who have had mastectomies for breast cancer. In some cases, it may be necessary to use the Brava® external tissue expander to prepare the skin and breast tissues prior to fat grafting. It is also possible to use stem cell enhanced fat grafting to cover saline implant rippling and even for treatment of capsular contracture.
